Unfortunately, bullying and cyberbullying is still present in our classrooms today. It is an important issue that teachers must address because it can seriously affect the well-being of a student. We need to create environments that make our students feel comfortable and safe. I believe discussing this topic will build awareness of what bullying/cyberbullying is, think about ways to prevent bullying/cyberbullying, and talk about what actions our students can take when they see or hear bullying/cyberbullying happening.

  1. It is very important that we teach our students not to bully others and to treat people the way that you want to be treated! Great idea, and it is something important that needs to be addressed in the classroom!

  2. Bullying in general is definitely something that needs to be addressed in the classroom. Students need to feel safe at school and activities such this one is a great start to the conversation every teacher needs to have with their students.

  3. This seems like a good lesson that would fit well in the beginning of the year when teachers are setting ground rules and expectations around the classroom including the use of technology. I also think it could easily turn into an entire unit about healthy relationships and not just a mini lesson which is helpful!
