Many classrooms are turning paperless. Students are using ipads and laptops rather than notebooks, and teachers are using computer programs and emails rather than printing and writing documents. While this may not relate specifically to the tech capability of a teacher, it shows that tech teachers are able to use computer programs rather than “the old fashion way” of paper and posters. Since many students are tech savvy, the majority of students enjoy a paperless environment not only because doing so is a great way to save the environment, but also because it allows students to use technology in class. Students are able to relate to the teacher and the class, and the teacher is better able to connect with the students.
I like the idea of being a paperless classroom, but their is something about having a hard/physical copy that I can look at and hold that makes a better connection for me.
